Day by Day
Your Itinerary
Arrival & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport and begin the scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Pass through the lush countryside, crater lakes, and the western Rift Valley escarpment. Arrive at your safari lodge in time for a sunset view over the savanna.
Morning Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
Wake early for a sunrise game drive through the Kasenyi Plains, one of the best spots for lion sightings and large herds of Uganda kob. After lunch, board a boat for the famous Kazinga Channel cruise -- spot hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and buffalo drinking at the water's edge.
Ishasha Sector -- Tree-Climbing Lions
Drive south to the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions that rest in the branches of fig trees. Enjoy extended game drives through open plains where elephants, topi, and waterbuck roam freely. Picnic lunch in the wilderness.
Kyambura Gorge & Nature Walk
Explore the stunning Kyambura Gorge, an underground forest carved by a river into the savanna. Take a guided nature walk along the rim and keep an eye out for chimpanzees, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and a kaleidoscope of tropical birds.
Final Game Drive & Departure
Enjoy one last early morning game drive to catch any animals you missed. After breakfast, depart for Entebbe with a stop at the Equator for photos. Alternatively, connect to your next Uganda safari destination.
